So I have been trying to apply for AP for months now, on humanitarian grounds since my grandma has dementia, and my niece has epilepsy.

And guess what?

Nobody wants to send me the friggin' hospital/doctor records!!!

My mom says that legally she can request my niece's (her granddaughter) or my grandma's (her mother) because she's not the legal guardian of either. My sister (my niece's mom) and I don't get along, so she doesn't wanna help. I'm like who cares!!! It's Mexico!! Pay someone to give you the records. My mom says it doesn't work that way. I don't believe her.

My aunt who takes care of my grandma says she will send her records, but she never does.

I'm so tired and frustrated and angry because this is really one small favor I'm asking, and whenever they need money I don't hesitate to send it. But I decided that I'm not going to send them money anymore till they send me those records. I'm mad. :/

So who is your grandmother's guardian? Is there someone who can legally make medical decisions on her behalf? If so, I would get into contact with them and get some sort of documentation you need for AP. If not, is there any way someone could explain to your grandma the situation and have them allow some documentation that doesn't give too much detail about her medical records? Like, which hospital she is at and two personal identifiers? Not sure what proof you need... Sounds like a tricky situation..
