Let the count down begins !!!
i got my ead in the mail today. there was no update saying that my card was in production. It says delivered by the post office blah blah blah.. i also didn't have to wait 30 days after my approval date .

06/04/15- DACA Received by USCIS --> 08/27/15 - EAD Set to expire
07/27/15 - DACA approved
08/12/15 - Called to ask why EAD had not been approved yet (usually they get approved together)
08/14/15- EAD Mailed
08/17/15 - EAD in my hands

They gave me a scare because they said it could take 60-90 days for the i-765 to be approved, despite the i-821D being approved. My job had already sent me a notice about the upcoming EAD expiration date and just when I decided to resign, I check the postal mail and it's there! Wow, I didn't even get a text that the EAD had been approved, much less mailed, and here it was. Very nice surprise

Congratulations to those who already got it! It seems USCIS is being weird about what they tell people and what updates they get. I was told to wait 30-60 days post approval for the EAD card, which has me so worried! Yet my case status says they are barely going to mail my approval notice even though they already did...

I was approved a couple days after you end of Julys so I hope to get mine soon!

Elcompa: I think you get a letter saying your case was transferred to X processing center, if it was. You can also open an account on USCIS and enter your receipts number to check more detailed case status, but again...not sure how accurate that is

My case is as follows

Renewal sent in February 28
USCIS received it on March 4
Biometrics April 3
Approval August 17
August 19 EAD card sent
August 21 EAD received and in my hands!
It was a long wait for me and also I did have the Texas Center so I know how frustrating it is to call and call every single day and all they tell you is you have to wait.
If any of you have questions don't hesitate to ask! And good luck to all of you'.

According to my online case status, I was approved on Friday. Do you typically get the EAD before or after you get the approval letter in the mail?? Im so excited, can't wait!

@kc11 typically you get your EAD card after you get approved. For me I was approved first then received it a couple days later. But from what I've been reading the Nebraska center was experiencing a broken card printer and they were sending them out a month later. Congrats on the approval though!

Quick question folks.

For those of you who've received your EAD card, is the date it becomes effective the same as your approval date? The reason I ask is simple. My EAD was approved 2 days ago and the card is in production, but my employer wants to know the valid from dates... This way I can get back into the office quick.

Any help works.. Thanks

Yes the effective date is from the day you were approved. So if you were approved 2 days ago then it would be that days date on your card.
