my friend is 17yrs old and is going for his fingerprinting. does he needs a companion to go inside the satellite office. does his companion needs to be documented. what they need to show to the staff at the entrance of the office.
i appreciate your input.

No, he does not need a companion. I went when I was 15 and again a few months ago and all I had to show at the entrance was my appointment notice. Both times I went I was out of there in under 15 minutes, but it wasn't very busy.

A form. It asks for your name, address, eye color, hair color, race, height, weight, date of birth, country of citizenship, A-number, SSN (if any) etc. That's about it. Nothing tricky.

They require ID. School ID should work, but if he has a passport or anything more official he should use that instead.
