I think for fiscal year 2016 MAVNI, there are 5,000 slots for the army.

Oh man... i am going to recruiter's office next week and I am kind of nervous...

and they said i will be taking a test (ASVAB) and need to get at least 50...

I don't know how hard is english or math is but because I was a psychology major, I never really took math classes and didn't have to take an english class because I took an AP english in High school...

so it's been like 5 years since I took math and english..

practice exams online is really easy though.. i expect a harder practice test at least right?

I'm sure you'll do fine. The math is not high level or anything. What's difficult is the time constraint. You get approx less than a minute for each question and you cannot use calculator. There are 2 sections of math on the practice: arithmetic reasoning and mathematics knowledge. As for the English part, there are synonyms and reading comprehension (which is a paragraph of reading and they ask a question about what you just read).

You don't have to worry about a removal/deportation order with MAVNI naturalizations. Section 329 allows people to naturalize through military service even if they have a deportation or removal or exclusion order.

The Air Force only takes about 6 MAVNIs every fiscal year and they don't take DACAs. The Army takes all the MAVNIs except the 6 that the Air Force takes. The Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard do not participate in MAVNI and don't let DACAs enlist. But the Army has plenty of slots so nobody qualified should get turned away.

In some points think twice. I was trying to sing in and got zero result. Its really long process and generelly i wasted 10 months and tons of time i could easily use any profitable for me. I applied at december 14 and passed all tests and medical exam and language test. Afrer that i signed contract and was placed at future soldiers training i was viziting twice a week since april. In july my background investigation started and i wasted more time with interviews and etc. One week before i supposed to be shipped i was said this background check still not complete and i was rescheduled for next 6 months. Good for me i kept going with my classes and still have valid f1 status unless i cand be admitted back to us never again if i leave. And 2 days ago recruter called me and said that im not applicable anymore and they send me letter with reasons. So not good news for me and more than that my current status f1 really under threat. Trust me now i regret i ever applied on mavni

Yeah, you're not supposed to have immigrant intend while under an F1 visa. You can maintain that status and later seek change (to H1B for example), but any travel is basically out of the question for now.

What was the reason for denial?
