Hello my fellow friends I'm currently a DACA beneficiary who traveled with advance parole abroad and re entered the USA with a stamp on my passport legally this time. I'm currently married and have a 2 year old with my spouse whom is a USC I consulted with a lawyer who gave me a quote of 2500 for her fees plus then 1400 immigration fees and I also have to go to a doctor and pay a couple hundred dollar for an immigration physical sounds pretty pricey. Has any one adjusted status after advance parole if so did you use a lawyer and how much did you pay... Stressed!!

Hi I just adjusted my status last week my wife and I pay a lawyer but honestly now that you entered the country legally is so much easier for you to do it your self ...the only reason why I pay is bc I didn't know to much about it but there's a lot info out here in other forums that if I knew before we would've file our selves !!! Go to visajourney.com AOS section !

Rose, I have applied for DACA on my own and Advanced parole at an immigration coalition in Washington Heights - one of my close friends whom went to DR trhough Advanced Parole already applied for her green card at that place and im sure they don't charge as much ( she did everything there from DACA to AOS ) like Chris_32 said there are tons of infos and the applications are usually very self explanatory . Where do you live ? I think I remembered asking you a advanced parole question before about the airport. I can ask her how much she paid if you would like more information.

Can you please tell me your timeline from sending out your documents to aos and going in for the interview? I just finished putting all my documents together and will be sending them out to beging the process. Thanks!

I'd say get a good lawyer! My lawyer is helping me with all the aos business and it's a lot! Yes, the forms you can fill out yourself, but there's a few more other things that go into it. They know the ins and outs of what works and what's best. Yes they are expensive, but you are paying for a service that will serve you for the rest of your life.

Yea of course

I sent out my documents on March 25 2015
Uscis received them on April 1 2015
Received biometrics appointment april 11
Did biometrics on April 21st
August 11 I recived my interview notice for sept 16
Sept 16 had interview and I was approved
Sept 22 got a notification my card was mailed to me
Sept 24 2015 recived green card on the mail .

My local office was Chula Vista Ca... Before it used to take 3 months but I think their backed up and it took me 5.5 months but it's all worth it ! One thing I can tell you is that don't pay attention to the processing times on the Uscis website because their not accurate! If you want to check processing times for your local office go to this link and choose your local office it's going to show you cases from your local office that were recently approved and their timelines
