I'm 25 years old... Finished college in 2013 with psychology degree...

I would want to apply to Grad School but I don't think I can get into any of them... Plus, they are private schools (USC, etc) and the fact that my status won't be flexible for the school to accept me and I don't know how I will be able to get a loan and pay back tuition.

This was my last resort and knowing that there are many people are applying for MAVNI, what is the process really?

I did email them and know closest army center from where i live...

There is absolutely no way that I can get green card unless I chose to go to this path...

If i do get in, i will likely be in my 30s when I finish the enlistment...

anyone in similar situation?

plz help me and you can pm me

If you qualify and have the physical capabilities and not people depending on you for survival at home, it's a great opportunity really. If I had it when I was in my early 20's, I would have jumped on it.

well, I just have fear of heights but it's not like acrophobia or anything like that...

I always had negative view somewhat... people around me never urged me to go to army because they say i will come back home having some kind of mental issue...

I'll be the who's making the sacrifices... hopefully i'll keep it updated for you fellow dreamers

well. I called us army today asking about the army program...

it's my fault that I said I was undocumented but I didn't state that I had DACA...

Anyways, I was going to call again tomorrow because the recruiter who answered the phone seems like he didn't have any clue about such program..

I know that the program is closed as of now, but can I still be enlist in waitlist or something?

i already posted this in another thread. But may be it would be helpful for F1 students thinking about MAVNI.
In some points think twice. I was trying to sign in and got zero result. Its really long process and generally i wasted 10 months and tons of time i could easily use more profitable for me. I applied at december 14 and passed all tests and medical exam and language test. Afrer that i signed contract and was placed at future soldiers training i was visiting twice a week since april so I was on delayed entry (more than 180 days with mavni). In july my background investigation started and i wasted more time with interviews and etc. One week before i supposed to be shipped (and was done with everything including my accomodation) i was said this background check still not complete and i was rescheduled for next 6 months. So now I finished with temporarily living in my car trying to rent new place). Good for me i kept going with my classes and still have valid f1 status unless i can't be admitted back to US ever again if i leave the country. And 2 days ago recruter called me and said that im not applicable anymore and they send me letter with reasons. So not good news for me and more than that my current status f1 really under threat. Trust me now i regret i ever applied on mavni
