Do you mind if I ask how the medical exam was by the civil surgeon? I'm not sure what I was vaccinated for when I was younger, if any.. And was nervous about if I have to get them all at once... What was the overall exam like and did you need to get any vaccinations?

It was fairly straight forward. The civil surgeon made it very easy. Only got vacc for tetanus as its due every 10 years. the rest i brought him records from school as i couldnt locate my yellow card. The way he determined immunity for varricella, siphelis, TB, etc was thru a blood which was covered by my insurance company. if you test positive w/ small traces of each, you have received the vacc. That is enough proof to show vacc.

I went in the first time to him got a physical and blood drawn. about a week later he called me back to pick up papers. i had my TB tested thru my blood which cost money (but my insurance covered it). However, you can go in two days later after getting the TB shot and see if you are immune to it.

for 864, spouse and I are filling out the 864 waiver as we have both accumulated the 40 credits.

I am planning on submitting the 765 and 131 along w/ the application.

for 131 we are submitting marriage lic, children birth certs, real estate records, auto records, insurance, pics. what else do you think we should send in?

Also including the G325 for both of us along w/ 2 passport size photos each.

What are you submitting?

Thanks for the info! Hopefully the doctor I pick takes my insurance.. I'm not sure what I was vaccinated for as a kid, if any. My parents don't have any paperwork..

All the stuff you are sending in sounds good. Bank statements and pretty much any legal document that contains you and your spouse's name as joint like credit card bills, 401k plans, life insurance beneficiary paperwork, anything pertaining to marriage benefits through your work, etc. My lawyer said that photos from the beginning of your relationship and forward for pictures would be good. What's 864 and what credits do you mean?

864 is an affidavit of support. If you have earned 40 credits (each year is 4 credits) then you can file for an 864 waiver. did you lawyer mentioned you needed an affidavit of support? if so, how are you going about doing it?

Also to clear up, the insurance will ONLY be for the blood tests. You still have to pay out of pocket for the actual exam. I paid $200 i believe.

Hi everyone,

Just returned from traveling to Canada. It was a very smooth return. This was a pre-clearence airport where the checking by CBP is done before your flight and after its treated as a domestic flight.

Got my boarding pass. went to the visitors line (much shorter than the blue passport holder line. Luckily i got there time i did as behind me i saw about 20 people come on fairly quickly). I waited my turn. presented my docs (advance parole, work permit, passport, boarding pass) to the CBP officer. Joked around a bit, was nice and courteous. She just asked my birthdate. Took my prints of both hands and my pic. Then placed my docs in a yellow envelope and walked with me to the secondary check room. We had a nice talk the whole time and very casual.

When we got to the second room she asked me to sit and handed my docs to the other CBP officer. he gave me a sheet to fill which asked for my name, bio info, parents / spouse naem, where i stayed, where i live, where i work. Filled that out and gave to him. He was also nice and stated that he will get me out of here as soon as possible. While i was waiting i only saw one other officer with a female passenger. She apparently missed her flight due to the secondary check. The officer walked with her to the ticketing coutner and requested they book her on next flight.

About 15 min after i get there the officer comes out and makes a photocopy of my passport. takes me into the room and asks me few questions regarding my stay, where i went, what i do for a living, where i live. Asked about my spouse and if i am in the process of adjusting status. He was under impression i already has a pending 485. i pointed out that i will once i get back but currently i am under DACA. he said OK. checked my baggage and asked me to have a seat back outside. All this time he was very professional and courteous. The whole experience was very straightforward and to the point.

In about 5 minutes he came outside with my documents and said you are good to go. Enjoy the flight. He gave back both advance parole papers. Both had stamps on it and both said paroled for a year instead of 1 day. nothing was stamped on the passport (only stamp was on my boarding pass which said admitted and on my advance parole papers).

that was the whole process. Very smooth and straight forward. I would recommend anyone who has pre clearance to get to airport early as possible and there may be a very busy and you can miss your flight. But overall the whole process was very east and i really liked the CBP agents.

Printed my I94 and will submit my AOS packet mid week. keep you all apprised on what happens next.

I had to also do this recently since my spouse is a U.S. Citizen and filed for me. I brought with me to the doctor's appointment a copy of my vaccination records that I had since college. I had the TB skin test planted on the first day and blood drawn that day too. I also was given a flu shot and a physical. A couple of days later I returned to have the skin test read and two days after that I was contacted by the doctor's office that my blood work and paperwork were complete and that I had to come sign them. The doctor had me sign, then the doctor signed after which the form was placed in an envelope with a seal placed on it. I paid out of pocket for it even though I do have insurance. I called around a few offices before I got one that was taking earlier appointments so I encourage you to call around. Also bring an ID with you and your marriage license (for those that changed their last names like I did) in case your ID has your married last name on it. Best of luck my friend!
