Hello everyone.... I am applying for a renewal of my DACA in a few months but I am worried that I might not get approved because of my domestic conviction. My ex-boyfriend who was my supervisor put me thru hell! He lied, cheated, physically, and mentally abused me while we were together. Well one night we got into a fight and I broke some of his things. He had me arrested and I was charged with assault and vandalism. During the court proceedings we were communicating but we got into a fight and he told the detectives I broke the no contact orders. I was charged with violating the no contact orders and thrown into jail once more. When I went to my bail hearing I pleaded NOLO for all charges just so I can go home to my daughter, continue working, and to finish classes. The assault charge was dropped but he kept the vandalism charge. Now I got a domestic vandalism conviction, and violating 2 no contact order charges. I feel like I should have not plead to anything because I lost my job, had to withdrawal from my classes, and missed my daughter's birthday while I was incarcerated. Do you think I will get approved? Deported?

Your best bet is to see a lawer. In cases like yours it's better to have knowledgable assistance.

"Have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor,or three or more other misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety." ~DACA requirement

To my knowledge domestic vandalism is considered to be a felony if the amount of damage you caused was over 400$.
Anything less than that is considered to be a misdemeanor.

Definitely get a lawyer. And for god's sake, get away from that guy.
