Also, find out if you can take more classes at your community college that will transfer over. At first for my degree I thought I could only transfer 4 semesters worth of classes, but later I found out I could keep taking classes at the community college. I was able to take these classes over the summer and transferred them (so I ended up with 5 semesters worth of community college credits) and then only paid for only 3 semesters at the university, which saved me about $6k.

Good luck!
I have taken a total of 87 credits at my CC. Its only 62 to graduate. There isn't any more to transfer as i have talked to an advisor. What is your major to only take 3 semesters at a University?

My major is Accounting, i took about 72 crefit at cc and then transfered to a public university where if you pay full time tuition rates you can take 4 or more courses per semester at no extra charge.. I took 6-7 classes and only had to pay for 3 semesters that way.
I also saved up while at cc since i would be taking so many classes at the university and was only able to work 25-30 hours.
It sucks, but it can be done. After graduation i got a job which pays for my master's in full.... So its a struggle when youre in school but it gets much better after graduation, so dont give up!

Thats insane taking 6-7 classes. Thats a heavy semester while working. Thats amazing that you did that. you're a success story and motivation to students who are still in school. Thanks, I won't quit. How were you able to pay for your university tuition? Did you take out private loans? If you did what interest did you get it at? What loan company would you recommend?

Yeah, especially for major classes. The most I ever did was take 15 hours my last semester as an undergrad and was working 60 hours a week. Somehow I actually did it but I think it might be easier towards the end because even though the classes are tougher, you've been around the block and know what to expect by then. As a graduate student though, even 3 classes was one too many.

Like IamAman said. I worked 40 hours and took 22 credit hours when I got into my major classes. One reason why I took so many credit hours is that the max cost at my school was capped at 15 credit hours. So I paid for 15 and got 22. It was hell but you have to do what you have to do. You can also see if your college accepts "CLEP" tests. They might not be applicable in your case since you have so many hours already, but they helped me lower my overall costs.

Yes it was a really heavy load but I guess it is all about managing your time... like I said it wasn't easy.. I knew I wanted to get it done so I just kept going... when it gets to be too much just remind yourself it is only temporary
I didn't take out any loans, just applied for scholarships and paid out of pocket. Some semesters I paid late, some I did a payment plan... see what your school can offer you! and start saving now.
