You are forgetting about Obamas Safe Neighborhood programs that were deporting non threatening families. It was aim at deporting gang members, drug dealers and what not but it turned out they were just deporting regular folk

Oh I believe that. Obama is infamous for that. I'm just saying DACA recipients are 100% safe if they don't commit even the smallest misdemeanor. Once they do that, they're not only subject to be deported but absolutely should be. DACA comes with the utmost responsibility but at the same time we can't let people start spreading BS that "Once you have DACA, you will be in the system and could be deported blah blah blah" This is a Dreamer forum. We should be helping newbies apply for DACA. It has changed countless lives. The proof is before you. In fact I know so many DAPers personally who are thriving right now because of DACA. We need to drill this down our heads once and for all. DACA recipients are LAWFULLY PRESENT whether anyone likes it or not. Why else do you think Republicans are furious especially with DAPA. Because these administrative powers Obama has used are so powerful they make something lawful when in fact there was no law passed!! Checks and balances is all it is.

Obama signed approved of a memo and all it takes its a president to get rid of it. Don't make DACA untouchable

No it doesn't man. Who told you that? I'm not saying we shouldn't be vigilant but we can't make these baseless assumptions either. Staying out of trouble is all we can do. Let everything else pan out by itself. Meanwhile if someone can adjust through other means (AP, Marriage etc) then certainly they should. Please don't forget it is DAPA they are challenging ruthlessly. DACA beneficiaries are 100% safe.

DACA extension is also being contested, even if it is through association. You're right though, people just need to stay out of trouble. That's why my leaving on the edge consists of doing math while drinking some red delicious wine.

I don't understand what's the beef here. Those families don't just get a knock on the door and get picked up and shipped back.
1. They have to go to court. That takes years.
2. They are getting deported because they didn't show up to court, therefore the ruling was ordered in absentia.
3. Once the ruling is ordered they are deported.
4. They don't deport you without seeing a judge, unless you illegally reentered again or didn't show up to court...

UNLIKE DACA
Most of us never been to court, so when they strip DACA they have to put all of us through court procedures. Serving all DACA recipients with court orders would be pretty darn hard, not to talk about man power, costs, and time it would take, is highly unlikely. When DACA gets taken down, most of us will be grandfathered in until they figure out what they are going to do with us or immigration in general.
