Hi guys!!
I recently found this site and have been reading everyone's cases and they've all pretty much been successful. I’m here because I got approved for my advance parole. I plan to leave to Mexico this month on the 29th, but to be honest; I’m a bit nervous something may go wrong and not be able to reenter the U.S. All my family is here, with the exception of my grandparents, I’m leaving for humanitarian reasons (my grandmother is very ill). Also, because I want to adjust my status since my husband was born here in the U.S. and can help me with my green card. Can anyone give me any tips or advise. Anything will help. Thank you

Congrats on getting approved for AP! I was scared also when I went, but everything went smooth. I came back via land in Nogales & BP was nice. They stamped my AP document & sent me on my way. You'll be fine. Enjoy your trip.

Thank you for taking the time to write back to me.
The thing is, is that a lot people around me are saying its not a good thing for me to leave because I might not be able to come back. I guess they're making me extra nervous.

I went through the same thing. And the violence I'd heard about in MX scared me so much I literally woke up one night and tried to cancel my plane tickets. Haha. I am also trying to AOS via my USC husband. Keep your eyes on that and do what YOU need to do. Good luck & good vibes to you

Another success story!

I came back this past Tuesday night (1/19/16) via JFK airport and it was a breeze!!! They only asked how long I have been out for and took me to 2nd inspection. While the agent was walking me to the room, he was like "We just need to verify the letter and you'll be on your way home." They were all lovely really.

I only had to sit and wait for them to look up my info and stuff and then stamp my passport and AP letter and called my name when they're done and handed back passport and AP letter to me. No other questions asked in this room. Since it was at night, there were only 3-4 people in the room waiting with me, so it only took me less than 10 minutes to wait for this to finish.

I want to thank everyone in this group who shared their knowledge, experience, and support!
