did anyone have to get vaccinations before traveling? Questioned about vaccinations upon departure/return? If so, are there affordable clinics to get typhoid and Hepatitis b in the NYC tri-state area?

They rarely ask about vaccinations. You should think about getting recommended vaccinations for the regions you are traveling to so you don't get sick.

Nope no vaccines. I took my 1 year old with me to Dominican Republic this past August. I asked his doctor if he needed any vaccines and he said no, he was up to date with all the crucial vaccines. I never was questioned about it upon my return,

I am traveling to the Dom rep and there have been confirmed cases about the virus there also. So far what I know I that the critically susceptible are pregnant women who's offspring can suffer from shrunken heads. A regular person would also suffer from fever, headaches, nausea etc. there is no vaccine for zika so I believe what they are telling people is to postpone travel until the virus subsides or use repellent.

God that is scary I mean I am going out there to study abroad so I will not be pregnant or anything but is still scary. I will have to use repellent. Are you still going on your trip or are you postponing the trip?
