Does anyone know how a woman's name changes in a Mexican passport when you renew? Here in America my name would be Mary Jane Blige but in Mexico it's written as Mary Jane Blige Doe. If all my documents Social card, US government ID is changed to Mary Jane Blige. How will it be for a Mexican passport when I renew it with my new married name?

Greatly appreciate any response in advance.

It will stay the same. They don't recognize the married last name, they will only add your husband's name in small letters under your name.

I'm going to the consulate in NY. Does anyone know if I need to bring anything else aside my marriage certificate?

I spoke to one of the representatives and they just said to bring the marriage certificate but it's in English. She said it doesn't need translation, but when I researched online they said I need an apostille.

Can someone please clarify this for me. I'm trying to renew my Mexican passport. Thanks.
