Hello. I am about to send AP request. Everything is ready. Evidence is very solid, (sick relative).. Now i am requesting 30 days which is the amount of days i am planning to stay there. And i know i might get a some more than that if approved. So now My question is WOULD IT BE OK to go ahead and ask for 6 months all at once. And explain that i may make multiple trips and that in no way am planning to be away for six straight months due to money issues... and for the same money issues i cant afford to reapply $360 fee for a second trip.

I think you'll be fine doing so. Just be sure to explain why you intend to make multiple trips. I don't think it necessary to include that you're having financial issues and cannot afford to re-apply.

Agree, better to ask first for longer term and multiple entries than a single one. I did that and had to reapply. second time i got 6 months w/ multiple. Just ask.

How did you request 6 months? I am applying and on form I-131 I put multiple entries, but it does ask your intended date of departure, which I put December 27, 2015 and expected length of stay, 21 days.
the 21 days will be for my first trip. I don't know how long the other will be for.

How did you phrase it?
Thanks!

I stated that i will be needing multiple trips for my work. First to be in Oct, then subsequent followups every month till March. just submit proof of work related travel, letter from supervisor. You should be fine.

Hi, where did you state that you'll be needing 6 months? On the form it self or on a separate sheet of paper. I was wondering if I need to attach a memo or statement to my application and other supporting documents.

Also, when you applied for 6 months, did you put 180 days under Expected Length of Trip?

Thank you so much.

Did you ask for specific dates to be out of the country or did you just ask for literally "6 months" on your application? I want to ask for 3 weeks but i am not sure if I need to specify dates or if "3 weeks" will be OK...
