Hey guys

You know how you don't qualify for daca if you have left the US at all during the given period of time? I'm planning on applying for daca and leaving the US briefly.. do you think this will affect my status when/if an immigration happens in the future? Like I won't qualify because of that time of absence?

You shouldn't be impacted if you are approved for Advance Parole and come back within the designated time frame/date.

How can it matter if you have self-removed? At least, that is what one can interpret from the given response.

Well that was the condition for daca too, right? If you have left the US at all, you don't qualify..

Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time;

This is one of the requirements of daca.
I'm wondering if they will have something like this on a future immigration bill. But leaving with advance parole is an exception?

If you leave with AP then you are fine however I don't understand what OP is asking so he wants to apply for DACA and leave briefly? Or you If approved I want to use AP to leave the USA. If it's not the latter then you are pretty much self removing yourself and abandoning your DACA application.
