Finally adding myself to this AP timeline. I'll preface this by saying I submitted the documents myself, but consulted with an attorney first regarding risks and my personal immigration history.

I mailed my AP request today via 2-day express mail. I requested AP for humanitarian purposes; to meet my biological family in the Philippines (I'm adopted) and also under the condition that my birth mother is sick.

My application packet was 35 pages long and included all of her medical records such as ultrasounds, biopsy results, and a medical certificate confirming diagnosis and recommendations for surgery. I also included my personal statement regarding my request, birth records and adoption records, DACA approval notice, & EAD. The wait now begins. #postivevibes

AP Approved!

Hi DACA fam! I received my Advance Parole documents in the mail 2/20/2016! It took less than two months for them to approve my case. It was weird because I signed up for notifications and I wasn't notified it was approved. I just received the docs. I didn't get any follow-up questions, so the original application and supporting documents (a 35-page packet) were sufficient. I requested one month and they approved the exact dates, no less, no more. I wish I had requested a larger time frame because now the original dates I planned to travel have changed due to work.

I have already booked my flight to the Philippines as of today. I cannot believe I will be meeting my biological family for the first time! Good luck everyone!

Hey eveyone, just want to share my story. Im a nurse, I applied for AP in late Decemeber for volunteering purposes. I used a website www.volunteerhq.org that was recommended by amoney3 ( Read his previous post ), I applied for a medical volunteer program. My package: a copy of my nursing license and all certifications, letter from the organization, a booklet that gave a discription of the project, a letter from me and a money order of $360. I got approved in little over a month. I ask for a week they gave me 2 ( 4days before and 3 days after). Im leaving in a few days but now Im really sacred to travel. I know this will be a great experience not only for me, but for the people Ill be helping. The thought of not been able to reenter is freaking me out. The notice "READ BEFORE YOU TRAVEL ABROAD", on my Ap documment keeps popping in my head.
