For all those who are attending an institution of higher education, how are you going about funding your tuition. I ask because I am intending to transfer from a community college to a state university and was wondering what options are out there:

Current college: Florida Southwestern State College
Funded: Was able to obtain instate tuition and a private scholarship through the school.
State: Florida
Current GPA: 3.96

Hoping to attend the University of Florida by obtaining scholarships to fund said tuition. Otherwise I'll drop out and work full time due to so much uncertainty in the air.

Right now I'm going to a community college. My plan is to transfer to a university. I've been paying out of pocket and because of that, I could only take 2-3 classes a semester, which makes me part time. Full time students are the ones who take 4+ classes a semester. I would love to take more classes but I just can't pay for them all . I work part time at a grocery store and my family helps me out sometimes with money to pay for school.

I was so disappointed when I found out that DACA can't get financial aid. So my question is, how am I supposed to continue to university without any aid? I don't know much about student loans or if I can even get any. Any advice?

It depends on what state you reside in. For example I live in California so I pay in state tuition but there is a waiver fee that I completed so it dropped my payments from 800$ a semester to 0$ all I had to pay was for books. I take 4 classes.

I go to UT so I get grants that covers some of my tuition. I also work at two internships that pay decent. My parents helped me a lot when i first moved here.

What state do you reside in?

I began doing 2 classes a semester before a bill was passed permitting me instate tuition. I then worked my ass off to ensure I got all A's before registering for a scholarship offered at the school. I now only pay less than $500.00 for 5 classes [16 credits].

I intend to continue my education through scholarships.... It's my only option.

I've been lucky to been offered in-state tuition before the Attorney General made it available in 2014. I've been granted an institutional scholarship because of my high GPA. My parents pay the rest. I pay for the books.

I live in New Hampshire. I also get in-state tuition. However, even with that, taking more than 3 classes is a burden financially. I guess I would just have to try to get good graded and fund my education through scholarships too.

Does anyone know if we could get loans though? Maybe not federal loans but private loans? Maybe from banks or something?
