AIM is alright, as long as we can do it in the evening as that would probably be best for everyone (feel free to correct me on this). As for celebrity activists, while it's a good idea, we're running out of time to plan things before September, so i don't think we'd be able to garner their full support in just 2 weeks. There are many human rights organizations that we may have better luck with, as opposed to high profile individuals, just a suggestion But, yeah PM me about the AIM chat, and we'll see...now I'm off to the drudgery of work lol.

I have been a member of this forum for a few days now, and I keep on hearing about how September is going to be a crucial time for those who support the DREAM ACT. Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question... What exactly is going to happen in Congress in September?

^ Sen. Durbin will try to attach DREAM to the defense authorization bill. It was set to be attached in July but Sen. Reid pulled it from the floor because the troop withdrawal amendment failed. Also, the defense authorization bill has to be passed next month because the bill funds the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. If we can get DREAM (60 votes) attached to it, we will be home free.
