Hi I am also in a similar predicament but I have been granted 10 year military exemption.

I am a south korean citizen (age 25) with a valid South Korean passport. As long as I have AP, are there are any causes of worry to enter Korea and come back to US safely?

I will provide an update of my departure and entry into states next week.
Sorry for the late update but I came back from Korea as well without any issues.
