Hello guys, just wanted to see if I could get some advise from those of you who like me only have a HS diploma.

I find myself currently seeking employment and it has been interesting to say the least. I understand that due to my education or lack thereof my options become somewhat limited.

Relevant information about me: Late 2o's, some college (2yrs) at a state university then decided it was not for me. No immediate plans to return to college even though I know I probably should. I live in CA (bay area, silicon valley)

Experience: Worked in the retail world for over 7 years as Supervisor/Assit. Manager, for the past 2 years I was in the hospitaliy industry.

My question is, what are some good companies/fields that I should look into? (No fast food places!), I need to make a decent living (haha!, who doesn't) I don't mind working my way up but I need a company that has room for advancement.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Try UPS, you're limiting yourself really esp in California. You could try getting a Hospitality Management BS and go from there.

Go with a trade. Welding, mechanic, electrician, construction, plumbing, carpentry, anything that is hard labor.
