Hello,

I am DACA and got my work permit on Nov. 12, 2012. I got it renewed once and sent another renewal request about 125days before my work permit expires. It is worrying me that I didn't get my biometrics letter yet when it has been almost 30days.

But the big problem I have is my foot. I was accepted to MAVNI and is getting shipped in September if everything goes according to plan. I think I got a minor stress fractured foot, but I want to get it checked out because I need to be in full health for the MAVNI. Problem is, I don't have insurance.

What do you guys do when you have to go to the hospital without insurance? Do you just pay without the insurance? Is there a particular hospital you go to?

Some input would be appreciated.

First of all you need to have that checked out. Either go to a poor mans clinic you know the free ones or whatever public county there is there. Have them examined exactly what it is. Then you make an appointment with a foot specialist and he or she will decide from there what to do next. I've only been to a histopital once and that was for an infected leg that I neglected to take care. And that was a pain in the ass to pay since I didn't have DACA or work insurance. Now you don't qualify for Obama Care but if it's a serious thing that might require surgery you can payment plans with the hospital. Also keep in mind if you do require surgery your leg won't help in a month it might take till Septmeber.

Check local churches in high Hispanic populations, they often have mobile clinics for free where doctors and nurses volunteer.

Please do not be a bad illegal and give out fake names at he hospital.

Please don't make us look bad.
