Hello everyone!

It has been a while that I have posted because I forgot my password, and the link to reset it does not work. It is great to see some of the old users that I used to chat with back in the day. Hi Pianos!!

Anyways, on to my question. With this country becoming more and more racist, and with us possibly never having the option of becoming permanent legal residents, I have started to research possibly moving to Canada, especially if Trump becomes president. As a Mexican citizen, I will be able to enter Canada without a visa. But does anyone know if you need to go back to Mexico and go from there, or can you go straight to Canada from the U.S.? I have spent hours researching this online, and I can't find the answer anywhere.

Do you plan to be illegal in Canada too? I would strongly advise against it and not ruin it for the others. There might be some ways to legalize easier in Canada now that they do not require citizenship from a mexican person.

Also, there are more lenient with the mexican flag wavers.

Nope. I do not plan on being there illegally, at that point I might as well just stay here and continue with DACA. That is why I'm researching how to enter the country legally and eventually become a permanent resident.

If you're allowed visa free travel to Canada, you'll be able to travel there from the U.S. You'll need to apply for the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) prior to leaving for Canada.

Canada allows Mexican nationals to travel there without visa.

I don't know how to migrate there legally.

I think you should stay in the USA.

Racism will be found anywhere.

There is racism in Mexico and our home countries as well. It is something you cannot escape.

Actually, the intent of traveling to Canada in the short term when you are looking for long-term prospects is against the intent of your travel purpose, therefore illegal. Canada is also requiring all nationals that "visit" its borders to submit electronic information before entering. You will likely be denied entry without it.

Canada and US immigration law is also somewhat similar. Irregardless of the attempt, gaining long term stay legally will require time well after the next president has been decided. If contrary, and the intent is simply to go to Canada as is, your DACA will be surrendered and will then be simply an illegal immigrant in Canada.

you'll have a better time being illegal here than being illegal there. Over there they WILL hunt you down. Over there if you try and use any public service they notify the illegal alien agency and make sure you're on a bus or plane out by sundown. The only illegals in canada are the ones who stay hidden in someone's basement and dont go outside or to the doctor or do anything but hide.
