Yeah biometrics is always needed. Kinda dumb since they already have our fingerprints and all that good stuff. What they think we are going to change our fingerprints ?

I think it depends on the general population of DACA recipients on the area you live in. The reason I say this is because we are not the only ones, If you look at tracking numbers before yours you can tell that there are definately people on the same boat as us. From the ones I looked at, seems like almost half. I could be wrong on the reason, maybe just bad luck.

I got an answer from https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/contactus today saying the following:

State: Resolved
Category: Software
Configuration item:
Opened by: Ron
Assignment group: ELIS Service Desk

Description:
User needs help with Online Access Code Reset

Additional comments: Call Customer Service at the same number... 1-800-375-5283 which basically does nothing.

I will call them tomorrow to see if with this recommendation from their IT desk documented they can actually give me code or reset it or whatever they need to do. I will keep you posted. . I would not waste time and call tomorrow and demand a passcode reset on your code. Maybe one of us is lucky.

I got the same notice as you, just call the number. This time say they emailed you saying to call. I thought the same thing so I waited a couple days and just decided to call. Turns out you just call, wait on hold and they reset it for you over the phone. I thought they were just going to make me file another request. I'm in the same boat as you! I've been waiting for a bio appt since April. Mine expires in Sept.

Okay, so today I decided to end this wait once and for all and literally spent the whole day calling USCIS. If you need the access code, the bottom line is, ask them to transfer you to ELIS Service Desk. When you get there, let them know that you'd like to have a new access code and give them all the information they ask you for. However; you probably won't speak to a representative at ELIS Service Desk at once. They will either transfer you to other department, hang up on you, tell you that they call you back and make you wait 5 hours, or make you speak to the most useless representative. But keep trying until you get to the ELIS Service Desk. Good Luck guys!

They escalated my inquiry since my first passcode did not work. They told me to call by the end of the week. Apparently this is an issue they are having... I love how they pretend their automated system fuck ups do not affect people's lives..

They need fingerprints because there is an expiration date within their systems concerning fingerprints, hence why they need to take new ones. USCIS requests fingerprints because the actual fingerprint may not change, but injury on the finger tip can alter and nullify what may be considered an up to date print.

Seem like a weak excuse to get us to pay another fee for it on top of the application on. Look I am not complaining, simply stating that its dumb
