Guy, I'm screwed. My DACA/EAD expires 9/2 and I will be mailing my package tomorrow. Is there anything that I could do? =/

I'm at day 108 and have 3 1/2 weeks before mine expires (Aug 17). This is actually the absolute worst time for this renewal delay to be happening to me...

-I finally have a great job (been there for almost a year) and my director had even submitted a request for me to be promoted in the next month or so.
-I am in the process of buying a home and the closing date is less than a month away. I can't get the final loan approval if I lose my job.
-I'd intended on flying to Philly to see my brother in the next 2 months, and now I can't even attempt to buy the ticket because I don't know if I'll have a valid DL to fly, or where the money will come from if I can't work.
-And all the usual stuff- basically walking around "naked" again with no ID, no job, an expired license that I can't drive with, and the uncertainty of when I'll be approved.

The only consolation is that HR told me that although they'll have to terminate me if my new EAD doesn't come in time, they will rehire me immediately once it comes. I just don't want it to have to come to that :/

This has been frustrating, to say the least, but I'm really trying not to have crazy anxiety attacks over it. I figured that I should pursue every possible avenue for help, and basically only spend money on absolute essentials, because there's a chance I won't be working for a while. Sigh.

Good luck, everyone. I really hope to start hearing about some approvals soon.

I too procrastinated and waited too long to send my application. I expire 9/4 and sent mine 7/1. Nothing that can be done other than to smack yourself in the head for not sending it sooner.

No but on the real, I agree that you should start saving money now if your job is aware of your expiration date (like mine) because it is very likely you will expire before you are renewed and they can't let you work once you expire.

If they aren't aware, don't bring it up and try to fly under the radar until you get your renewal that way you don't lose your income. You're not supposed to do that, but in desperate times people do desperate things....

But the main thing to do is to learn not to be a bonehead and send that shit in on time next time!

What do you mean save my money now for the next renewal?

I'm assuming I'm gonna go a month or so without an EAD.

What is IOE? Are we allowed to submit our renewal online?

Also, form i-821 expired on 6/30/16 but I do not see a newer one on the website. Are we supposed to use that one?

Its a form of filling number. I got one but my application was routed to Nebraska.

I was playing around with the case numbers online and there are about 40,000 cases before mine that have yet to be approved and have the same "Biometrics noticed scheduled" Dont know how accurate that is but its nerve recking

I think zone2oo0 assumes the reason why you are submitting so late is because you didn't have money for the $465 filing fee, which is why he said start saving now for the next renewal.

I submitted late because I was just effin lazy and an idiot, gotta keep it real. And I really don't think it will just be a month — more like several. No way of gauging how long it will take though until some renewal approvals start coming through.

I cannot believe that we're in a situation where even if you applied within their required application time there'll be lapses between EADs. The USCIS is not willing to expedite cases and they no longer issue interim EADs. They truly dropped the ball this time around.
