I still wasn't able to get through to a tier 2, but I got hold of a pretty active tier 1, who filed for an expedited decision on my case due to financial hardship. She said that I should hear back from USCIS in 5 business days, and that I can still call tomorrow to get in touch with a tier 2. So, I have that on my agenda, and also the InfoPass on Wednesday, to see if anything comes out of either.

For what it's worth, I was told that Nebraska is processing applications that were submitted in January 2016 right now, and I'm still 2 months behind, even though I filed my application during the renewal window and have an expiration date of 8/17/2016

It looks like we're all going to have a delayed renewal at least 2-3 months past our expiration date...

I dont know man... they're really screwing us up... some people have their dream jobs and they are losing it because they are delaying renewals..that is not fair. I really hope we start seeing renewals happening in August.

Hey guys, my renewal packed was received by the USCIS on 4/19 and my EAD expires on 9/9... I just filed my 2nd e-request on 7/10 to try and get some real info on what's going on.

I have also contacted my state Senator in hopes that strings can be pulled since I have signed my contract to join the military and this would severely impact my ability to ship on time to basic training.

Just today I received an email in response to my e-request, which, in part, stated:

"Our records indicate that an appointment notice has not been sent to you because your case has not yet been assigned to an officer. All our cases are worked in the date order they are received. Once it has been assigned, an appointment will be made for you, and we will send an appointment notice.

The Nebraska Service Center (NSC) is closely monitoring the expiration dates. We are working the renewals in the order of previous card expirations. There is no authorization to allow expedited processing of the renewals. However, if your card is a few days away from expiring and your case was filed at least four months prior we will review the case to ensure it is in proper placement.
We hope this information is helpful to you and appreciate your continued patience."

I am not sure if they will follow through on their word, but this is what they told me.

54 days away from losing my job...

That gives me some hope. I have an info pass appt weds if they can't do anything I'm going to call uscis the next day. If nothing happens I'm going to call every single day. This shit is ridiculous. Not fair if we applied within the recommended period.

What appointment notice? That part of the response makes no sense.
