Hi All,

Long time since I've been on this board and I lost my password so had to create a new account. I am a DACA recipient and I was just approved for Advance Parole and I am excited! I have a question for those that have been back with Advance Parole.

I received the I-797 Notice of Action Document that says Notice Type: Approval Notice and it has my travel dates. Is this the DOCUMENT everyone talks about or will I receive another? I only received one copy.

I am confused because it says "The document will be mailed separately.. This notice shows the validity dates of the travel document" Will I be receiving another document?

Thanks so much for everyone's help! I looked for an answer on the threads here but have been unable to find one.

Yes. You'll be receiving another document. You got an approval notice. You have to wait for the actual advance parole document

Thanks, Malignon! Do you remember how long after you received the approval notice did you get the actual AP doc?

Thanks again!

Yes, you'll receive another one. It will have your photo and in the corner it'll say I-512L Authorization for Parole of Alien Into United States (or something like that).

You'll get two copies of it. Bring both of them with you. CBP will stamp one and return it to you when you return, and will keep the other.
