Yes, just call the customer service number. They will confirm that you are outside the normal processing time (>105 days) and will transfer to a level 2 agent. Just be prepared to wait a long time before you speak to an agent. Also, I would advise you call in the morning since they will not transfer you later in the day. I speak from experience.

At the end of the day, all they will do is send a "service request" to the office that is handling your renewal. Within a week, you will receive a letter informing you that your application is still being actively reviewed and that an expedite request will not be possible in your case. Call in, but do not hold too much hope that it will speed up your application. It will at least give you some reassurance that your application is in line for review.

On another note, I wonder if those who have a case at Nebraska....really do have it there. I believe applicants should ask USCIS where are their cases being processed. Something doesn't sound right.

Again, The official timeline for I-821D application renewals is now 6 months!

A federally recognized state ID and your USCIS notice of action should suffice.
I am not sure if these delays are due to USCIS implementing so many changes in the name of improving efficiency. The IOE (Integrative Operating Environment) prefix given to every receipt notice is new, and last I spoke with a level 2 officer, was informed that it was an electronic filling system designed to improve turnaround times (mind you I applied via mail).

One thing I hope we could do is bring attention to USCIS's lack of efficiency. It is clear that USCIS is not adequately carryout the president's executive orders, as seen with a 6 month renewal timeline. If an agency like USCIS cannot fulfill it's government duties, then it is a broken system that requires outside intervention.

I just got off the phone and did not see your message before I ended the call. I had no idea about the tier 2 option nor was it suggested to me. Having said that, I was told that they are currently processing applications as of January 28, 2016 and that "all I can do is be patient." This affects my life in such a negative way (as it does to all of you), but no worries sir, I'll be patient.

However, he did confirm that both my applications are being reviewed, but then again I can already see that on my online account.

Did you receive some kind of case number for your outside normal processing time along with the letter? Would you suggest I call back and ask to speak to a tier 2 rep? Thanks.

I have an infopass tomorrow too but I'm pretty sure that will be another useless steps. I've being out of work 2 months now, my job paid me some of my pto time recently, I just hope that I can re apply and be hired again

January 28th is just ridiculous . If Nebraska can't process all the daca renewals in a timely manner, then why the hell can't they distribute it to other processing centers? It doesn't make sense at all that they will encourage us to apply at most 4 months before our work permit expires then tell us it will take 6 months to renew. That's bullshit!!

How do we know Nebraska Service Center is actually processing a specific application currently? We don't!

I would actually like to see renewal applicants post IF they actually are receiving information that it is being processed at the Nebraska Service Center....it might not!

By the released processing Data, Nebraska center, was at least working on Feb 4th case. How is it that they are telling you it's Jan 28th?

If it really is 6 months then that means every single DACA renewal applicant is going to be with an expired EAD. We really need to push for them to give the extended EAD if that is the case.

From observation on this thread, those who have their case near expiring or expired, when they check cases around them, some of them are approved. And that includes one case in April. the data people are getting is not consistent at all.

Hey guys...

Has anyone here called to request to expedite their case?

I just called USCIS and the lady that has helped me was clearly just reading a script, and all she said was that the 90 day processing timeline for the EAD does not start until AFTER they deferred your case thru DACA. That means that we have to be approved for renewal first before we can count the 90 day period for EAD processing.....which is something that is already mentioned on the website.

I was going to request to expedite through financial hardship since I my EAD expires 8/17, but I don't know what grounds would qualify. I am going back to school this fall and would not qualify for federal assistance, so I was wondering if that's a good enough term to push for it.

Also....a lot of people here are talking about an extension. Anyone know the process for requesting an extension on your case?
