I feel your frustration. I have been out of status pending a renewal since July 20th. USCIS already knows about their backlog, but nothing is being done to prevent this from happening in the future. By the way, USCIS has proposed a fee hike for many of their application fees. I don't know if to cry or laugh anymore.

Like you stated, however, the first large batch of renewals will start to roll in this month since many applied for the initial DACA program in August 2012 (expiration date would be 3-6 months from this date).

If USCIS cannot handle the backlog now, it will certainly be a challenge once they start receiving the majority of renewal applications starting this month.
Yes, you're correct - thanks for the reminder of the pre-June 2012 cases.

We do have some people on the forum that have already been approved. A very small number right now, true. It just goes to show that it's really hard to figure anything out at the USCIS.

Here's an update on my delayed renewal application:

I received this letter in the mail on July 29th, 2016:
http://imgur.com/a/wPMCc

I received this email 10 minutes ago today:

"Good afternoon Mr. ****.

I have been in contact with our Nebraska Service Center regarding your DACA case. According to NSC, they are currently processing DACA renewal cases with receipt dates on or before February 4, 2016. Your receipt date is March 2016. . If you do not receive a response from the Nebraska Service Center within 30 days from the date of this email, please contact me back at the above email address.

Respectfully,
Special Cases Unit
ab"

Yet again, inquiring about application status has gone nowhere...the wait continues.

I am going in for my Info Pass appointment tomorrow and will see what they have to say- which I'm sure is more of the same. Here's to still hoping for some renewals.
Hey, you forgot spotlight.

Thank you for sharing. I'll let you know once they get to feb 18 (which is when they got my application). So far I've been waiting two weeks since they announced the feb 4 date

Is it possible that they're not updating their site as often as we think they are? What if they're beyond 2/4, and it's not just reflected?

I was thinking about this as well. Walabe's application went to Nebraska in March and was approved in about 85 days.

Information seems to flow in the path of least resistance. It seems like officers are just throwing around the 6-month timeframe or just reciting what's online, which technically reflect processing times as of May 31, 2016. Perhaps this is done just to get people off their backs. There does not appear to be any significant customer service beyond simply telling people what they already know and what's reflected online.

Well, we should know soon enough, for the first rush of expiration is about to hit. If none of us hear back with some renewals by the mid next week, I think it's fair to say that a lot of us are about to go back to living in the shadows.

I have an InfoPass appointment on Wednesday. I know some of you have also tried this route and so I am thinking it will be a waste of time. But is there anything I should ask? should I just request to submit a service request or inquiry?

It's fruitless most likely, but ask them to expedite your case or issue an interim EAD. If you have a job, you can tell them that the loss of your EAD will bring financial hardship to your employer.
