Hi guys,

My EAD expires on 8/17/16 and I think I have been approved (I hope). This is my second renewal.

Here is my timeline:
Submitted my application on 3/21/16
USCIS received my application on 3/24/16
Completed my biometrics on 4/1/16

I have tried everything possible to try to get my cases approved. I have submitted cases inquiries, tried to expedite, emailed Nebraska Service Center, submitted an Ombudsman request, and contacted my congressman's office.

Today I received an email from the immigration case worker from my congressman's office. She let me know that me and my sister's DACA renewal cases have been approved.

After the email I immediately checked "my case status", but the status did not change. When I logged into my USCIS account, I saw that my status message had changed to "USCIS has approved your application or petition, or request. USCIS will mail your proof of benefit or USCIS action to you" for both I821D and I765 cases.

I hope my status changes to "card in production" soon. I wont believe it until I receive my card.
This has really been exhausting and I really hope I have been approved.

It's just unbelievably tragic how USCIS can create more hardship for you. I am completely sympathetic to your situation...really hope you get a renewal soon.

That sounds promising - congratulations!

This is the email I received today from the NILC:

Quote:
"We asked USCIS headquarters about the delays with the Nebraska Service Center. USCIS said that there is a computer glitch causing a delay in their approval process. They’re trying to fix this and we are trying to get more information about how quickly they can fix it.

I’ll let you know as soon as I hear anything more concrete about when this problem will be resolved."
If you have not, PLEASE contact "reply@nilc.org" with the subject line "DACA renewal delay" to seek their help. Of all the places I asked for help, NILC has been the most helpful in pushing for my renewal.

I told them I needed to show my employer my new work permit or else I would lose my job, they told me that if my employer uses E verify it would show up as eligible to work since my application is processing. I don't know how true that is.
If this is true would be interesting to see people who's reached expiration do a self-check of their employment eligibility at USCIS.gov.
I think its a quick way to check her statement.

That's a good sign.
I wonder how many people have started to get approve but are not part of this forum like in 2012.
