This is only my guess.

Probably because they are not working on a completely linear system. Seems like they have sorted batches being worked on in parallel, and those batches may be further divided and assigned to different case workers. Then, depending on the case worker's production speed, the amount of cases they flag with issues, and other factors, cases may be approved out of order.

Day 18 after EAD expired. Still nothing. HR still hasn't contacted me either

Biometrics 04/29
Expiration 08-05

I think the reason is they are trying to keep their average process time to 105 days as stated on their website. They know there is delay with old cases so they are simultaneously doing new cases to hide the delay. Standard government operating procedures. Hide/Ignore the problem until it's too late (but for USCIS it's never too late, only too late for us).

Yes . No one had contacted me so I'm playing it very low key until they do. Just hoping for an answer very soon.

Another day without Bios. 70 days now. It seems something happened at beginning of June because it seems lots of us who sent our apps during that time haven't gotten our BIOS. FML.

Did a little bit of analysis.

My application was recieved 3/24
Bio 4/15
My EAD expired 8/17

I took a look at the surrounding 200 applications as mine, obviously I can't see when they expire but I'd guess based on the dates they're also 8/17.

43 total 821D applications (86/200 receipts being DACA)
28/43 are in the received and biometrics scheduled status.
15/43 are approved and in the "USCIS delivered your card" or "Card sent to production".

I didn't get an exact number but it looks like half of the 15 approvals have a date of August 22, the others were almost all 8/9 dates.

I know I sent it on May 28th or 29th.

There is something definately wrong. Although my brother sent it 2 weeks after me and he is still waiting!

So it cannot be just us.
