ROFL.. Wouldn't be surprised but hoping that's not the case. With the way they handled this fiasco, it's not impossible.

Recently, USCIS announced certain Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) cases filed between February 14, 2016 and May 14, 2016 have been delayed due to technical issues. USCIS officials advised these cases were placed on temporary hold while the technical issues were resolved. Case processing has now been fully restored.

Can only lawyers contact the CLINIC? Or can we tell them as well about the delay?

Hey guys, I'm going to call again today and see if I can talk to a Tier 2 rep. My EAD expires next week (Saturday) I think and I haven't even gotten a biometrics appointment. I have an infopass appointment scheduled next week. :/

What have you who are ready to expire or have expired have said to your employers? I was hoping to wait until next week to talk to my boss about it, though I don't think he would be able to give me more than a month of leave if any (I think closer to 3 weeks). I have gone beyond panicking at this point and closer to resignation that I won't be able to keep this job. I have so many bills and stuff I don't know what I'm gonna do. I'm sure all of you are in the same situation so you'll be able to understand.

Also for long terms solutions to our status, have you guys heard of this? I'm renewing my passport this Friday so I can get ready to apply for this in the coming weeks. https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-rele...waiver-process

Meaning any family members with a residency can request a pardon for us instead of just a citizen. My parents who are recent residents will try the above for me and my sister.

This is the email I got from Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC):

Quote:
Dear xxx,

Thanks for reaching out to CLINIC’s Advocacy department. We are very sorry to hear of your DACA renewal delay. We will add your case to the list of example cases impacted by the delays that we are sharing with USCIS.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with any additional assistance on your case. We encourage you to call USCIS to request updated case status and to escalate since your case is pending 105+ days. The telephone number is 1-800-375-5283. We encourage you to take notes during your call, including the name of the officer you speak with and the case reference number they will provide to you.

When you call, use the following prompts for pending DACA cases:

Press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish;

Then Press 2 for latest information on pending case; Then Press 1 since you have your receipt number; Then after getting the status of your case you can choose 3 to talk to a Customer Service Representative.

For further advocacy assistance, we strongly recommend that you contact the CIS Ombudsman’s office and emphasize the urgency of your case since you have an EAD that will expire in a few weeks. Attached you will find information about how to do that.

We hope that your case is approved very soon! Please know that we will continue in our advocacy on this issue until processing times are fully restored.

Warm regards,

Jill

Was your case always there or were you transferred?

How was your case transferred to NBC? Were you notified that your case was transferred? if so, when was it transferred?

Two weeks with an expired EAD, and still in process. NILC contacted me yesterday and asked about my situation. The rep said she will send all reported cases to USCIS. Hopefully this helps. My case was received on April 6th NCS, Bios on April 27th, and nothing yet :/ It's been a 145 days so far.
