At first, the bio appt letter from ELIS (and also the one a Tier II rep faxed over) was scheduled for 10/11, which is 2 days after my EAD exp date. I tried walking in (first one in line super early), got past the initial security guard, but after I handed back the filled out form, he asked me why am I early then handed my documents to the supervisor. The supervisor said they can't take me today and offered to reschedule. Then she told me that I have already been rescheduled to 9/14 in the system but ELIS didn't show that, and I got no notifications. I pushed her to reschedule me even sooner, told her that my bio didn't get scheduled until almost 3 months later, USCIS gave me two wrong notices, etc. - she said 9/14 is pretty soon already so she told me no. I explained to her my exp date is only three weeks after 9/14, and she kept telling me not to worry about that...I am going to try walking in tomorrow at an ASC that's 2.5 hours away from me in a smaller city, so hopefully they will take me.

You have to look early in the morning, and it's usually 14 days in advance. They are usually gone by afternoon.

Read my experience on the Chicago biometrics thread. Before you go in to the new location.

Yea its today or tomorrow or its over for me even if they approve me later. Crunch time! This whole delay is ruining my current job relationship and to make matters worse I got a new offer at a better company but they want me to start soon by end of sept. When one ship sinks I get a chance to board a new ship thats if and only if only USCIS approves me soon! If I don't get approved by at least next week with EAD in my hands in 2 weeks I have to say good by to my old job and my new offer

I used the new version of USCIS under the help desk too.

I also sent a message through ELIS 2 days before I got approved. I stated that I felt my file was corrupted and was getting no attention so if I could have it processed outside of ELIS like last time. I received the same response about forwarding it to Nebraska Center and was then approved the next day.

I did so much to try to bring attention to my case that I really don't know which one brought results.

Congressmen (I know that didn't), Multiple SR's, NILC flagged twice, went to InfoPass appointments and made them call Nebraska center directly both times, Ombudsmen request, and Email for help (both types)
