Found my old password. Using this account now

Anyway, I expired on 9/1 and had to leave my job. It was rather unpleasant.

I still have bills to pay, car payment and general life expenses. I was making pretty good money.

They said they'd give me two weeks or else they have to hire someone else.

I'm a graphic designer so I am able to freelance, which is nice, but I had a well paying job that really made me happy.

Also my DL expired so I had to go get the AB60 DL today at the DMV. I at least can continue to drive.

Bummed.

What was the process with getting the AB60? What did you bring, did you have to do tests, etc.? I had to resign today as well as I expire on the 4th. I feel blessed cause my boss is going to hold my position as long as I need but hopefully it doesn't have to be TOO long.

I sent them a message via the updated USCIS website experience, and I got the following message:

"Thank you for your inquiry dated August 31, 2016.

Our system shows that your Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card, which was filed on March 3, 2016, is pending and is within our current processing time.
To determine current processing time within USCIS, please visit https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplay.do and select the link for the National Benefits Center (NBC.)

Your mailing address has been updated in our system.

Lawful Permanent Residents of the United States may produce one of the following as acceptable documentation when traveling:

I-551, Permanent Resident Card ("Green Card")
Machine-readable immigrant visa with a CBP Admission Stamp
Temporary Resident Stamp (ADIT stamp) contained in a passport or on Form I-94
Valid Reentry Permit
Unexpired Immigrant Visa

In addition, Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations states a foreign passport that contains a temporary I-551 stamp, or temporary I-551 printed notation on a machine-readable immigrant visa may be used as proof of employment eligibility. See 8 CFR § 274a.2(b)(1)(v)(A)(3). This stamp is only valid for the time period indicated; afterwards, you must obtain your Form I-551 or have your stamp renewed.

If your Permanent Resident Card has expired or you need evidence of your status before the Permanent Resident Card is received, you may wish to schedule an INFOPASS appointment at https://my.uscis.gov/appointment to obtain an Alien Documentation, Identification Telecommunications System (ADIT) Stamp as temporary evidence of your Lawful Permanent Resident Status from your local USCIS Field Office. Please take a copy of your I-90 application receipt notice and your passport to your INFOPASS appointment.

If you need more assistance with your USCIS online filing system account, please submit another inquiry to the USCIS Customer Contact Center at https://my.uscis.gov/account/needhelp (unauthenticated) or log into your online account for specific case inquiries and contact us at https://my.uscis.gov/account/inbox (authenticated).

If you move remember to update your address in the USCIS online filing system or contact the USCIS Customer Contact Center at https://my.uscis.gov/account/needhelp (unauthenticated) or log into your online account for specific case inquiries and contact us at https://my.uscis.gov/account/inbox (authenticated). You must also update your address using our online tool at http://www.uscis.gov/addresschange.

We hope this information is helpful.

Sincerely,
USCIS Customer Contact Center
KNS"

Not even my receipt date is correct. I am a local government employee and a manager told me that in the government sector, 80% of the employees do 20% of the work and 20% of the employees do 80% of the work. I have a coworker in my division who does pretty much nothing. With the delays and the response I got, I envision the officer working on my case to be like my coworker.

If I do not get renewed on time, I will lose my house, my car, my credit, and most importantly, I will not be able to support my family. Even though I still have a month to go, I am starting to panic with everyone else's experience.

My timeline:
Receipt Date: 5/13/2016
Bios Done: 5/20/2016
Expiration: 10/08/2016

I emailed my HR yesterday and they were so happy I was approved. I swear I must be the only case with an EAD they've ever seen, I am so thankful they were very understanding. Regardless it breaks my heart to still see people getting their lives flipped upside down again and again.

I don't save lives or research for rare diseases, but I am thankful they find me "useful" enough to keep me around.

I still keep getting responses from Help Desk to my earlier emails, they keep on making SR's. Which shows how dysfunctional the system really is at this point in time. What is really weird is the same officer from NSC responded to another of my emails, reiterating my approval, but why take the time to respond if my issue was already looked at by him the previous day.

It has not made it to my ELIS account.
I would give it two days for it to be uploaded, just like my biometrics appointment.

This happened to me as well through the USCIS help feature. They responded to my "request for biometrics." But, I never had an issue with my biometrics. Just their delay -_-

Thanks!! This office was super tiny lol they had like 5 waiting chairs. The person there was going to ask me to come back on Tuesday because everybody else left for the holiday weekend already. I told him I really wanted to get this done, and I can wait until he is free. So he gave in and told me to wait, came back in 10 minutes, and I was out in another 10 minutes. Nicest worker ever at an ASC, we actually had a good convo. I also did buy a flight ticket just in case but didn't need to use it lol
