So my questions are: if I register for a learning experience abroad, would that count even if it's not for college credits? what kinds evidence would I use to satisfy the requirements for educational purposes? From what I've heard is that you can get advanced parole if you study abroad, but I believe the credit must go to your major, or at least any general ed courses in your major.

As for the evidence, you will need a letter that explains the importance of taking the course. I don't know whether your school needs to write the letter or the institution you wish to study abroad.

You should ask a counselor at the study abroad office at your school. At the same time, I would ask an immigration lawyer too - so you know exactly what to do and if it's worth it.

Hi, I am applying to study abroad and the 1 unit course has nothing to do with my major. Other students I know have done it. I have a question though, has anyone successfully applied for DACA Renewal and Advance Parole at the same time? I want to do that. Mine expires end of October but I just received an email to go in for my biometrics. Any feedback whatsover would be greatly appreciated.

Not yet, I'm still waiting for my renewal, it's been 2months since my bio. I will submit the AP this week and hope for the best. I will keep everyone updated regarding the process and time.
