Ok I am considering applying for advance parole for educational purposes. I've been reading this forum and most people have been applying for humanitarian purposes.

I need as much encouragement as possible, so anyone who has had success applying for advance parole for educational purposes, please share your experience.

I read a thread about a lady who applied for AP through a study abroad in Europe program. She had applied for the program and sent her AP the next day. She then wasn't able to go through the program because of the costs and her AP came back approved. Effectively, she got AP and traveled Europe without having attended the study abroad and came home no problems

Thank you @Malignon that was a very helpful answer to my question. I'm reading through a lot of advance parole post on this forum and you seem to be very knowledgeable on the subject of AP.

So I hope you can help me with another question. For my evidence of need to travel for AP for educational purposes I plan to provide:
1) a letter explaining that I am a nursing student and am traveling for a global healthcare abroad program and stating how it would be beneficial to my nursing education.
2) my college transcript showing I'm an enrolled nursing student.
3) official letter of registration to the study abroad program.
4) brochure about the study abroad program
5) itinerary of the day to day educational events that I will be taking part in.

How does that sound to you, do you think that is enough evidence to get approved for AP for educational purposes? Please respond.

That is sufficient. I have applied for AP twice myself (both humanitarian) and twice for my sister (one humanitarian and one educational). All were approved in less than a month and half. However, here are some additional recommendations I'd give you:

- If you work somewhere (hopefully in a place related to your field), send them your job letter. (This is how my sister's was. She got registered to the educational program THROUGH her job HR department. Just letting you know)
- Looks like your evidence number 1 is going to be the most important one. You really want to persuade them that this will contribute highly to your education and future goal. Don't make it too long but detailed at the same time.

Good luck.

Thanks @2face.
I don't necessarily know if I can get a job letter stating the educational purpose of this trip. But I do plan on writing a letter and giving evidence that focuses on the educational aspect of this trip.

I went overseas using AP for educational purpose. I went for a conference on a topic that relates to my major, particularly a course topic. I believe you have sufficient evidence. This is what I sent them:
1) My letter explaining the relevance of the conference
2) A letter I requested from my department chairperson stating why conference is important for students to attend and its relevance to my studies
3) graduate school admission letter & my school ID
4) transcripts
5) my major curriculum documenting that the conference does have relevance to my studies
6) conference info
7) conference payment

I hope I do have enough evidence. I think I have everything except a letter from my school because the study abroad program is not facilitated by my school and it's not credit bearing. So I don't know how or who to ask for a letter recommending I study abroad. I'd what to do

The conference I went was also not facilitated by my school. I just figured it would help build my case, so I emailed him whom I have met and talked with briefly at a school symposium. I explained my situation and asked him if he would be willing to do it. He ended up having me write the letter and that he would check it over and then sign for me. I also asked for him to print it with school letterhead and everything lol.

You'll be fine, but if you wanna get someone from school to back you up, you can ask one of your professors in your nursing program. I'm sure they would be willing to do it.

Ill try hopefully can get that letter. But I'm still hoping the evidence I do have is enough to approve my case

Btw how long did it take for them to approve your application?
