When I checked ELIS, my status also went from approved to being accepted. But when I checked case status it said:

"On September 14, 2016, we began producing your new card for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number IOE09005xxxxx. We will mail your card to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

EAD Expired: 9/1/2016
Renewal Sent: 4/16/2016 Bio Appointment: 5/12/2016
EAD Approved: 9/12/2016

Finally talked tier two. Told me that there the last update in my EAD showed there was a "glitch" in production on 9/11 and that they needed to resolve. He did not elaborate and said it was internal and suggested I wait five more days to call again ....

Just tried to login to Ellis
https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov
Once login it redirected me to
https://my.uscis.gov

Is any one having this issue .. this morning I was able to login to my Ellis
