I believe it's possible but I would recommend finding a lawyer to help you with that. It all depends on many factors such as (how you entered the country, what job position will they be sponsoring you in, if the job is very difficult for a normal US citizen to obtain, ect ect)

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some clarification about temporary versus 10-year green card. I remember reading that if you are married for less than 2 years, even if it's 1 year 11 months, you will have to get a 2-year, temporary green card. Is that correct? For some reason, I thought I heard they subtracted the time you've been married.

We are four months away from 2 years so I am wondering if we should just wait so I can go for a 10-year green card right away.

You'll get a conditional green card for 2 years.

When the time comes, you apply again to have the conditional status listed. You will have to be married still and be able to prove the marriage was bonafide. This should not be an issue. Then the condition will be lifted. However after another year of marriage, you can apply for naturalization.

It depends on how long you have been married for as of the date of your interview.

If less than 2 years - you get a conditional green card. (2 year, CR6 category)
If more than 2 years - you get an unconditional green card. (10 year, IR6 category).

If you do get the conditional one then within 90 days of expiration you need to file I-751 to get the conditions lifted.

You'll get a 10 year greencard if you are past the 2 years of being married by the time of the interview! So depending on where you are filing, sometimes it takes 4-6 months to get an interview, some places it takes 8-12 months to get an interview. So I say in a couple of months submit the application and you should be fine for the 10 year greencard.
