This question goes out to those who have been terminated or have taken a leave of absence from their jobs. How have you been dealing with the delays? I went to HR when the deadline for my EAD was approaching and my "In Process" status wasn't changing. I was eventually fired when I could not provide a new card after the old one expired. I am fortunate that I worked through the month of September so all my bills/rent were paid. But if it takes 150 days like many of you are saying, I will be out of work for the next 2-3 months waiting for that card. This is stressing me out because of the high rate of unemployment in my state, legal as well as under the table jobs are few and hard to come by. I will basically lose everything I've worked hard to attain. This is a stressful situation to be under! Has anyone else experienced similar circumstances ?

I'm on the same boat, I was given a 3 week leave of absence and after that I will get terminated. The best thing I can advise is speak to your HR and as well as your supervisor/manager and tell them about your situation and hopefully you can be rehired.

I was fortunate enough to have saved a portion of money. I'll be paying for my bills with my savings over the next few weeks and possibly months.

I'm not really sure how you can deal with this, I myself am having a hard and difficult time processing what's going on. I have so much time on my hands now that I am not working. The days feel so long and the weeks feel like forever.

Some turn to their faith for a sense of assurance, I have prayed many times that my application be approved but I don't think the guy upstairs gives a shit so lol

I'm just honestly trying to move forward in whatever context that means.

I feel really bad for you
In my case my company have put me on leave but i have no clue at this point when i will get my EAD. I also got another job offer, bigger firm with higher pay and i might end up losing that offer next week
All my opportunities r passing by and im losing my career. I look very unreliable towards my current company since its been almost 2 months that im out so theyll i guess eventually let me go
Finding another job takes a few months especially going though the entire hiring process
But overall im trying to stay optimistic as much as i can :/

Thanks for the advise. I spoke to HR and should the card come in I'm rehire-able. Unfortunately, she couldn't ensure my position will be held for me. Thank you for the support! I wish us all a speedy approval! I'm trying to be optimistic, but as a realist this tests all of my hopefulness. I'll try faith! Ayran123 hang in there.
