One day to go for me... After tomorrow, who knows if I'll have a job by the time I get my permit.

The saga continues...

i'm 5/11 here. Expired 9/23 and still waiting. I just went up and down from my case number on case tracker and i'm starting to see some approvals from late last week. Hopefully this week is our turn!

What date does the new EAD show when you receive it? The production date? the date you get approved? later? My employer wants to see the EAD "in hand" which i don't think its specified anywhere in I-9. For re-verification it says to show an item from List-A or List-C and the last one from List-C i think applies.

Thanks,

TIMELINE:
2016 Renewal
Application received: 6/20/2016
Biometrics: 7/08/2016 (walk in)
Approved DACA- TBD
Approved EAD- TBD
Last ELIS update- "Case is being processed"
Service Center: Good ol' Nebraska
I expire on 11/11/16. I spoke with someone that was much more helpful this morning and he submitted another SR on my case. By the time I get a response, I will either have to contact NILC or attend my InfoPass appointment.

This shit is ridiculous.

Has anyone discussed legal recourse regarding these delays with a lawyer (i.e class action lawsuit to secure extensions for expired DACA beneficiaries)?

NILC can escalate my case on 10/19/16 if I am not approved by then. I also have an InfoPass scheduled for 10/18/16. I'm trying to get a T2 rep on the phone again this morning to see if there is any new information, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be the same run around.

Check your local ASC and try to schedule an InfoPass appointment.
Right after I made my post, I called uscis and asked for t2 rep. I actually got a call back, and the t2 rep was very helpful! She put in a service request for me to NSC after I had told her I was expiring next Monday. I hope I get back with some good news soon. I also did schedule an infopass appt, but I'm in NYC and it's impossible to get one in the city, so I had to schedule it for a NJ field office.

Also, I work for a law firm that handles immigration and corporate/employment law and was forwarded an email sent out from AILA stating that uscis is acknowledging delays in biometrics appt notices, and that all delayed appts are scheduled for the week of oct 24. I can't seem to find the AILA doc on google so I'm guessing it was a privately released document, but if there are a lot of people who want to see the actual document that I'm referencing, I can copy and paste the exact info from the doc when o get home tonight.

Might be old news but I was just on the USCIS E Request website, did anyone notice this?

If you are a DACA renewal applicant please contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center at (1-800) 375-5283 to inquire on a case pending longer than 105 days.
I hadn't noticed that before. I think I'm going to do just that during my lunch break.

I certainly agree but I can already see the headline : "DACA receipients now looking to sue federal gov"- imagine the uproar the orange man's base and this plastered all over CNN- not a good time to piss people off. Not to get too political (this forum is not the place) but i'm tired of being a pawn. I just want to get along with my life. Every two years we are just reminded of how close we are to the shadows again and this just scares me. Don't get me wrong better this than nothing, but I read somewhere on this forum many of us dreamers have a mortgage, or kids. I have neither but i shudder to think of the anguish they must be going through. We have to wait this one out for now. We cannot allow them to do to us what they did to DAPA. I leave every one with this from one of my fav's Albert Camus. I hope it give us the bit of strength we are all in need of right now:

"In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love.
In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile.
In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm.
I realized, through it all, that…
In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.

KEEP PUSHING BACK!

To update everyone here:

Approved on 9/8/16, and only this morning did my case tracker change to "Card Being Produced". See my signature for full timeline.

it is but they're actually telling you to call in and bug them if you're more than 105 days late. That seems odd somehow to me... Like they know they don't have their shit together and we need to remind them we're waiting or something. lol

The funniest part of all being a DACA person, we literally are treated worse than other similar immigrant categories. All the other deferred action, or TPS people are able to get provisional extensions, etc, but we were blatantly told NO to such similar extension.
