Hi there, I also had a background check issue as in it was delayed at the FBI. I did my biometrics on 6/13/2016 and my senator told me that I passed the background check on 9/26/2016. And I was finally approved today, so it was around a little less than a month after I cleared the background check that I was approved. However, every time I asked the tier 1 or 2, they said my background check didn't pass yet even though it did. So even though they said your case is still pending background check, it might have passed. Contact your senator and she/he might give you more information than just contacting USCIS. Keep your hopes up!

Thank you! I got both email notifications in the morning saying that USCIS has taken action on my case (8:35 AM and 12:01 PM).

I'm highly suspect of just about any claim USCIS has of delays due to background check. As someone who has had to have a background check for work and knows many others who have recently had them done, it typically only takes a few days for a background check to be cleared. I've never known of one to take longer than a week. I think USCIS is just trying to pass off blame to another agency to try to buy themselves more time or to cover up their inefficiencies.

Here's my timeline one more time:
Application Received: May 30th
Biometrics Completed: August 12th
DACA/EAD Expiration: September 8th
EAD Approval: October 21st
DACA Approval: TBA

Actions taken: Called Tier 2 Representatives, 2 service requests, contacted Ombudsman office, case flagged by NILC

Just happened today to me. I find it funny that it happened that way. My brother texted me that I got my card in the mail, then my status changed an hour later.

Mine is still saying the card is in production. Before it read your card was shipped, did it ever say the card produced?

Yeah I think it took like 15 days for it to change to card prduced. You have the same timeline as my brother, so I would say that you should be getting yours very soon.
