Something bittersweet after this shit election; got my EAD in the mail today. Sigh, I look at the expiration date and hope to everything it's not cut short.

Congratulations! A day ago I would've said "the nightmare is over" but that's not the case any more. Just one less thing to worry about for now.

Yay living with your parents in your mid and late 20s!!

I called in again today 11/9/16 , 30 days after they sent me a letter in the mail telling me it was in line to be processed, sorry for the delays etc.....

The only update they gave me was that it has now been assigned. Hopefully it goes through soon.

Waiting since may has not been fun. Especially since i sent my sisters at the same time and she has been approved for over 2 months now.

I encourage everyone to renew as the future of the program is not yet 100% doom , lets have some faith.

You can make a payment of $465 combined ($380 for the form and $85 or thebiometics)

Make the check or money order payable to U.S.Department of Homeland Security.

Hi! joined today cause we're all pretty much royally F'd so I figured I'd obtain some info in whats to come and provide feedback as well.

To answer your question: https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/c...enew-your-daca
-Filing fee is $465 (needs to be money order)
-Form I-821D (most recent one on website)
-Form I-765
-Form I-765W
I renewed my DACA in June and received everything by late August. Since I was previously granted DACA I put category (c)(14) in my i-765 form. If its your first time filling you are category (c)(33).
The USCIS offices to file to are different depending on each state. I've sent the Initial and renewal forms to Chicago Lockbox as i live in the northeastern area but it differs if you live in Cali or whatever. Here's a link which shows where to file everything at once depending on each state: https://www.uscis.gov/i-821d-addresses
However, the direct filing address for i-765 under category (c)(14) is in Chicago. Sooo you should still call a lawyer or someone local in your state who deals with DACA to verify which office to send it to I'm sure they would just answer and not charge you anything.

I'm confused. I thought we always put c33 for DACA. Isn't c14 for regular deferred action?

Also, do you guys type or handwrite to complete the renewal applications?

DACA is c(33)

It's in the instructions if any of you are interested in reading it (second link): https://www.uscis.gov/i-765

I usually type my application, print it out, and then do my signature.

Hi guys,

I was finally approved yesterday, after 3 weeks of being expired and out of a job. I will be going back to work on Monday, where HR will temporarily onboard me until I get my EAD card in the mail.

I am happy that I was finally approved, but I am so scared of what's to come with the new president. Sigh.

Crossing my fingers for everyone who has not been approved yet. It will come.....
