So I'm considering AP to AOS (adjustment of status)
I'm married to USC
DACA EWI
After the president announcement I don't want to give up on my last chance even if is faint.

How long does it take?
I'm looking to get a doctor's excuse for a family member.

I'll have until Jan 20 (trump signs in)

Any thoughts/experience is/are appreciated guys.

If is not guarantee that your request will be approved within 3 months, but I think it is worth a try.

Same here.
I'm about to file my AP for work related travel.
Typically it would take about 3 months to process AP, but some have received it much sooner or later.
Assuming it is very likely that DACA will be canceled under president Trump, the question for us is how the process will be handled.
Things would be okay, if they are simply refuse to renew DACA but are willing to let you keep EAD until it expires. But if they decide to terminate it on day 1 and make it illegal, then things might get messy quick.
But I highly doubt things will work that quick though.

I submitted my application for AP a couple weeks ago. USCIS received it on Oct 31. I've researched a lot and I know it is taking approximately 6-8 weeks to get a decision. I am hoping to get it before January and travel before Jan 20 so that it is safe to travel.

You should do an emergency AP. Send your package get your receipt numbers go to a local uscis office and explain why you gotta leave now. Grandma is dying she needs you ect ect. Fly to the nearest airport in your country then come back in. I know some of my Mexicans friends did weeks before the election just in case trump won.

Is it that easy to fake a grandma diying? I want to do this but my grandma is already dead. So what are my options for emergency AP?

I've done a lot of research on advance parole approval time. It seems to be taking 6-8 weeks for most people. I'm on week 7 and praying to get a response within the week. Hopefully USCIS doesn't start slowing up application processing because of the election. Smh

I am also hoping they do not slow down especially with the holidays coming up (days off). Let's hope for the best. If I don't get it by mid-December, I plan on going to a USCIS office and requesting to expedite it. I am scared I will get it after Jan 20. I would most likely not travel since I'd be scared.

Do you need to show proof they your grandmother is dying to expedite? My grandma is not, she is ill but not dying. Please ask your friends if they showed proof at a USCIS office, it would be really helpful so I have a better idea in case I have to take that step.
