Gosh let's see...
1) Not visiting Hawaii
2) Not going back to school for my master's
3) Not taking advantage of my degree and working doing what I've always wanted to do <- This one hurts the most ::sigh::

If you don't mind sharing, what did you wanted to do? I'm sure that there a lot of us with similar sentiments, including me.

Interesting...
Well..I wanted to work in advertising. Art department. =) But I never felt good enough, while in college I didn't intern at an awesome place, so I didn't gain too much experience nor was I able to network. Every time I search for jobs, they require years and years of experience. If you look for an internship then you must be in college or university. I'm way past that. Made me so angry every time. Still does. I grew discouraged each and every time and I landed in other jobs. It's nearly impossible to get your foot through the damn door if you don't already kind of know someone or at least started as an intern. At first I thought those would just buy me time while I got my s*#% together. But then I stayed because they payed the bills. Then I never had time nor did I make time to work on my real goals. Before I knew it, 5 years have gone by.

I also wanted to go back to school, for a master's. Hoped that it would give me the confidence I needed and that I would learn a lot and get back out there a bad-ass of a woman But, here I am. Not being bad-ass.
Thats what happened. What your story?

Well DACA came as a godsend for me in 2012. I was just about to finish college and it was announced. I was able to obtain an internship and eventually a full time job working on environmental issues. I studied environmental science in college and I was grateful that I could use my college degree. However, I had always had interest in starting a business. Since before DACA I knew that it was very unlikely that I would be able to work legally absent CIR, I was interested in starting an LLC which I had heard could be a way to do business without an SSN, etc. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy where I am. I was planning on going back to get a Masters and expand my career options in the future once I had the experience under my belt. I was just thinking about that not 3 weeks ago.

But now, with this unexpected turn, it is all on hold. I'm just hoping that it will not be as bad as we are currently imagining.

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. This will be my new motto/outlook over the next few weeks/months as we learn more about what we can expect on Jan 20, 2017.

I will keep praying that we all be spared of the worst of what may come. Good luck to all of us.

You are a bad-ass! You have college degree... Trying to make it in the real world! You got this. It's hard but you can do it. I'm not sure where you are but I have a friend that works in marketing where she does the art designs and where she works they are always looking for Spanish speakers. It took her 3 years to find this job! No one wanted to hire her either.

I also know exactly how you feel because I am stuck with a BS degree that is not very fruitful. I wanted to become a lawyer but I couldn't because I didn't have papers. After DACA I can't even get a freaking job... hahah! I can't help but laugh sometimes.

I wish I was more open with people and had socialize more in college. I've never been to a college party or a football game. I suppose I still have time to do that, so I will work on that.

That was me too. But I'm sure we didn't miss out... I'am sure not getting wasted or high or pretend we had friends was the best decision. You can work on better life goals, like getting a good job... during that time you'll meet friends... but yeah... just be more open. Fake it until you make it. I was once told that and it works.
