Hello, I was not qualified for DACA as I was 16 years and 1 month old when moved to USA. I moved out 2 years back to my home country. I lived there for 15 years and everything I know how to work, earn and make a living, I learn it there. So, the decision to move back was more like moving to Mars as I hardly had any friends in my home country or knew anything about how things work.

It was the hardest decision I had to make, but I was tired of living without 'life' and also I had to look after my parents who were in my home county and getting old. Now, It's nearing 2 year in my home country, I have understood how things work here - but I still not know how to get it done. Everything is different, no friends still! But I do have few relatives. I am not afraid that anyone will snatch a land below my feet. I don't like the weather, pollution or politics here. But I lived most of my life in USA working and within 1 block! So why should it bother me?

Point I am trying to make is, we all have been through worse and we have survived. There is some stage in life where things can not go worse and can only change as we move forward. Ofcourse I miss everything about USA. I know more about living life there than here. But I am alive and well! I don't earn much, nor I have a good job with any benefits. But, I have a family, I can go out, I can manage in what I earn, not the best, but enough to live on.

All I can say is going forward you must stay positive while you consider negative points. Be prepared, don't be afraid. If things don't go your way, work how the way shows you with positive intent and hard work.

I see lot of users here are wondering if you should apply for renewal or not. You all MUST apply for renewal, all you need to understand that Trump can't simply write an order on day 1 to void DACA. If he wants to cancel DACA, he will have to slowly phase it out with a solution as all of DACA recipients have a job, family and some have debt!

So, don't panic, stay positive. After all, you all have seen what happened to laws brought into Arizona or Alabama few years back to make life tough. There are people who understands your situation and when time comes they will rally behind you. Good luck!

I really needed to hear this! I LOVE YOU! You are amazing! and I am so proud that you started anew again!!! I have a high paying job here and a great life, I am only 21 and super proud that I am able to live a fulfilling life here. However, I feel the same, if they take away DACA, I want to move back home as well! I have lived her more of my life than back home, so definitely not gonna be easy settling in. But having to stand and live on your own land and soil and nobody can tell you or fear you with not belonging. Seriously, with day one of trump winning, the discrimination among races and genders is out of control already. So might as well be at a calmer place than here.

What is your native country?
I want to remain positive but I just can't anymore. I've already contacted relatives in Mexico to see if they would be able to help me out if I decide to go back.

India. I mean lets get real, the age where all kids have fun and enjoy their childhood, most of us did not have it that way. We were always trying to survive with constant fear about the uncertainty of what future may hold or who may end up questioning our being in the USA. Most of us gave up our childhood working and supporting our family. So not sure what American Dream I had lived because the future I always dreamed of, time turned it into the past, while I stood in the same situation all those years dreaming about better future.

The good thing about all those years I spent there was, I had a Job, I can earn and support myself, I can eat the food I like and go out for a movie occasionally. I am able to do same here! Of course not at the same level, but when I had decided to move back, I had always considered what I will regret. And I am doing OK! I have accepted my circumstances. Would I move back if I have a chance to? YES! I would if I can Legally, even if it's for a visiting period. I grew up that and will always miss it.

I just hope things get better for you all and some permanent pathway becomes a reality. Staying positive is the only way forward. You can't just drown yourself into negativity and go on with your day daily. It won't help, It will only depress you. Better Enjoy your day and take a day at a time.

Thank you for your kind words!

I get what you're saying about the childhood part. My mother always told me to never tell anyone about my situation and to never get into trouble. I think that was one of the main reasons I didn't get to enjoy my high school years. I was a shut in because I thought it was too risky to hang out with friends and them doing something dumb.

I had DACA for four years and it was good while it lasted. I went to NYC, LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, and a bunch of other fun places. There is more stuff I wish I could have done but there is no point in crying over spilled milk.

I like to hear you are doing good in India. There is a rumor in my family that some of our ancestors left India and settled in Mexico before 1850. They have a very unusual last name and they live in the same 100 mile radius in Mexico. The last name is Soni.

Yesterday I hanged out with some friends and the negativity left for a few hours.
During these strange times it is best to spend times with loves ones.

I totally agree, spend time with family. We might all be worried for nothing. Let's hope for the best.

Trump has surprised all of us (the whole country), I hope and pray to god that he will end up doing something good.
