Hey guys me and a couple of friends are planning a trip to NYC on May of next year. Our hotels are booked but flight tickets aren't. With Trump being the new POTUS and possibly ending DACA, do you guys think I should still book the flight? My EAD was just renewed but Im hoping Trump lets us keep it until it expires. What do ya'll think??

I know people and have seen stories in this forum of those that have travel within the continental US before DACA. All you have to do is show a government issued ID, a foreign passport worked for most.

I think you should be fine. Before DACA I traveled with my passport only. If you're very worried get one of those tickets that can be canceled..is that a thing? I think it is. I really think your EAD will stay valid until its expiration date. In that case you could still use your state ID to travel and even your EAD card.

Thanks! Will have to look into that ticket refund thing. I really hope Trump doesn't entirely void our EADs.
