Illegals cannot apply for legal status in Canada. That includes us, DACA recipients. Sorry guys!

It is quite tragic...

I have been considering Canada for a while but the truth is that there is no easy way into Canada for us.

I am not saying it is impossible, but the risk of failure is high with no guarantees of a temporary stay. For some of us it might be worth to try.

I just want you guys to be realistic with this option.
Can you please share any reference? Any reference to how to prove your work experience for the program would be helpful.

I am sorry. I explored this option as well. The only way to do this feasibility is if you have 50k and a master's degree in a profession that is in high demand. There could be other similar options. It is competitive over there as well, perhaps nursing careers or computer related professions. You will have to invest significantly with no guarantee that you can ultimately become a pr after your studies.

The process will most likely require you to go back to your home country

What is considered a high demand profession? And if possible share some of your sources.

The canadian immigration website has details about work permits after study.

Graduate school is not funded the way it is in the U.S. You must pay full tution. For example, a viable option for me would be to apply for a PHD program for which I need to risk it all an possibly need 50K dollars.

For most people here, that is not an option. Applying for a study permit will require you to leave the U.S.

Not to mention you must have the education credentials for such PhD program.

Guys, I know it is looking bad for us but let's stay positive and hope for the best.

Remember that Paul Ryan seems to be supportive of DREAMERS, and he is basically the Republican's golden boy.

"To start, we need to find a way forward for the “DREAMers.” These are unauthorized immigrants whose parents brought them here as children. They didn’t break the law; their parents did. They grew up in our country, and now they are pursuing an advanced degree or serving in our military. "

http://paulryan.house.gov/issues/issue/?IssueID=9970

Not to mention that if Republicans go along with Trumps more extreme stance on immigration they could lose Arizona next election cycle, It was very close in 2016. Also I can see massive civil unrest from Democrats led by Bernie Sanders, if he starts deporting and breaking up families. He hasn't even been sworn in and People are already rioting.. anything Trump does will set them off..

Interesting read. 50K for a PhD program doesn't sound too bad compared to tuition prices in the U.S.
I had trouble finding sources that specified 'unlawful work experience' does not count. Do you have any of those sources?
Other than that, I don't think it'd be terribly hard to learn some French and rank high on their list.

How would they even know our work experience was while on DACA?
