I am not 100% how they do it. But there is a way they check. I will try to find more sources.

Ok. I was looking at what you needed to show to prove work experience and it was a letter from you company with company info, job title, job description, etc

How do you have 10 years of experience as an engineer in the USA?

Did you work under the table or fake papers at a company prior to DACA?

Not to mention that if Republicans go along with Trumps more extreme stance on immigration they could lose Arizona next election cycle, It was very close in 2016. Also I can see massive civil unrest from Democrats led by Bernie Sanders, if he starts deporting and breaking up families. He hasn't even been sworn in and People are already rioting.. anything Trump does will set them off..
I would not be so sure that Rayan is still their golden boy. But yes, we do have people in the Republican party that are currently in power and others (Jeb) that are sympathetic towards us. In the end, Trump will need Congress to approve some kind of measure to remove all of us that are undocumented, if they start with DACA, it will just be bad PR.

So glad I read this thread because I almost paid to take the IESTL exam for Canada immigration.

If DACA program gets closed (God forbid), does the USCIS notify our current employer that the work permit is no longer valid? How would it work?

I did, I worked before DACA. I worked at a medium sized manufacturing place. I started as a machinist and I was able to work there through college while getting my degree in mechanical engineering and working as a sort of co-op/internship (I was getting paid only $15/hr). After that, DACA came into effect, I left that company and did some machine design at a Baler manufacturer and later I worked as a process engineer at a steel mill while I went to grad school. Then with my masters I got a new job at one of the most recognizable companies in the world doing technically my dream engineering job.

Without Daca I am royally screwed.

I met my dream girl and we are currently exploring options.

No one will know for sure. I would assume that for employers using e-verify, it would be certain that they would be red flagged. For people who work at places without e-verify, then nothing is for certain.

It is certainly possible that they could sent paper letters to our employers. I do not know.
