So it was a month *after* the EAD was expired? Then they asked?

If you are applying for a new job, then yes. Otherwise if he revokes it which I think is very unlikely and you are already employed, your employers are not gonna keep checking your employment verification. They only do it one time in the beginning and depending on the company, they will follow up with you when your expiration date comes up.

Yes, they contacted me like 4 months before expiration date was up and they sent me a letter also. Thankfully I received my EAD this year really early, only 2 months after I sent in my DACA renewal. So I went to HR and gave them my new EAD and they made a photocopy and sent it to corporate HR. I work for a big and well known corporation and they use E-verify so they are always on top of EADs expirations.

Were any of the companies that never followup in E-Verify?
No contracts. These are mostly small businesses I worked at. They are not listed there. I worked for a small business as an administrative assistant one time and various other small businesses as a receptionist when I was in my early 20s. All of them never asked me for my renewed EAD. They only did employee verification one time in the beginning. They never asked me to reverify even though I did have my renewed EADs and got them on time.

Just be open to those two scenarios being one in the same.

The biggest concern is that most dreamers are trying to make the distinction that removing DACA at the executive level might not translate into their legal presence being affected, but it just might. One just look at the precedence of what happens when TPS is revoked for a specific country as example because a President makes the designation.

Doesn't that disqualify you from getting a green card in the future?

Yes. Both companies I've worked for are huge and so their HR is on point. These have e-mailed my manager and I regarding it, 4 months before the expiration date. Usually we have a private conversation and they just say my permit expiring soon and to just provide them with the updated information as soon as possible.

Last time I just explained to my manager that I could only renew 4 months prior to expiration date and that I would probably get approved very close to my expiration date. When it was like 2 weeks before my expiration we spoke about a possible unpaid leave, but not being eligible to work meant I couldn't remain at the company. So on my expiration day I resigned but we agreed that I'd contact them as soon as my new one came in so we could get me back working again.. Everything was highly professional. I received my new one within a couple days, but I had to reapply to the job and that took weeks. I expect it will be the same at this new company. And I'm probably gonna expire too That or..worse >_< Staying positive.

Does anyone mind sharing the names of the companies? Only share if you feel comfortable.

This is probably a terrible idea to do.
