Urgent Advice..

I was charged outta state tuition for my classes which i registered, i heard from you guys that if i live in NY, i should be able to get the in-state tuition by showing them my high school diploma.. but for some reason, im scared of exposing them my status.. so, can i get a piece of advice/help here..

Im thinking you go to a CUNY school.. You have nothing to worry about take your HS diploma, and fill out the affidavit from registrar which says you are in the process of attempting to get legal status, its simple as that. I did the same thing 5 yrs ago without any problems

Yes, i do go to a cuny school.. So i just have to go there and tell them that im in the process of attempting to get legal status? No need of diploma or anything?

No you need to bring your HS diploma they will make a copy, tell them you are undocumented and were charged out state tuition by mistake.. Then fill out the affidavit, they should correct this right away...

Hmm.. do i have to say im undocumented.. I mean, cant i say.. im in the process of getting a legal status.. :P

Well you dont have to, but its common sense, if you are filling out the affidavit.. You have nothing to worry about, CUNY is not immigration, its actually against the law for any employee of CUNY to disclose your status to anybody

Allright bro, thanks a lot. I'm actually scared of exposing my status infront of anybody.. but ima do it like a man tomorrow..
