My renewal is taking forever I guess just like the rest of you. But I have heard successful stories about people contacting their congressman to help them with their case.

What are my options if my representatives are republican and against "illegals"? Is their job to help me regardless or could I contact someone else or am I out of luck... again?

I just feel I have to do something else. I have already done service requests, infopass appointment, sent emails to anyone who popped in my Google search for help. Lol... but nothing has helped like one bit.

Is there anything I could do?

My case is pending adjudication and from what I read that means it hasn't been assigned to an officer yet.

What has an immigration lawyer tell you?

How about your Senator? Also, this PDF might help.

Nothing. As I don't have an attorney.

Thanks for that pdf... It helped me confirm that I have taken all the correct steps... All my representatives are Republican and were against DACA.

I guess I'm out of luck! It sucks!

Thanks anyway guys!

You don't really get to speak with the congressman directly, from personal experience, you speak with the receptionist or whoever it is that answers the calls. It is the immigration case worker that will speak with you and he/she will assign someone to your case to inquire about it with USCIS. So I would still do it, what do you have to lose at this point?

This method, for me, however, had no effect. USCIS simply respectfully told them to F off and wait, as DACA does not qualify for expedites.

What did work for me was to call USCIS 3 to 5 times a day until I finally got to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor then put in an internal request to have my card produced. Got my card a week later.

Good luck.

I have tried to go through a congressman in the past and i think it does help bring attention to ur case. My senator and convressman are republicans but still they have an obligation to help out their constituents. If i were you, i would also try the ombudsman after 105 days.

I tried the congressional inquiry and while it seemed very promising, I ultimately got this answer from the immigration case worker:

Unfortunately, USCIS does not have authorization to allow for expedited processing of DACA renewals. USCIS encourages DACA requestors to apply for renewal between 150-120 days before the expiration of their current period. Let me know if you have any additional questions, thanks
Have you tried contacting NILC? My case was approved 2 weeks too late but I strongly believe contacting NILC and having them flag my case made a difference (could have been longer).

I think it was the only thing that made a difference, to be honest.
